This week saw the Casuals Colts travel to Kettering. In muddy and cold conditions the team started off slowly with a couple of early knock-on's giving Kettering the early possession.

The Casuals forwards then saw a good period of well co-ordinated moves with Jack Mellor being stopped just short of the try line, however after keeping possession Casuals Ben Surtees-Wheat planted the ball firmly over the line for the first score of the match. The conversion was missed. 0-5.

Kettering then took possession and ran in two quick tries, with one conversion leaving Casuals trailing 12-5.

With Kettering then pinned in their 22, Alfie Pullen charged down a planned exit play, collected his own charge down ball and ran over to score Casuals 2nd try of the match, with Olly Walker adding the extra two points for the conversion this took the score to 12-12.

Kettering grabbed an opportunity in play and ran in their third try of the match, this time unconverted. At half time the scoreline was 17-12.

Kettering had their tails up at the start of the second half and ran in another try and conversion leaving Casuals trailing 24-12. Casuals were then awarded a penalty just inside of Kettering's 22. Casuals opted to tap and go. Harry Thompson fed the ball nicely to Alfie Pullen who went over for his second try of the day with Olly Walker once again slotting the conversion. With the score at 24-17 Kettering then ran in another two tries making the score 34-19.

A fine move from the ruck just outside of Kettering's 22 saw Olly Walker break through the line and step the full back to go over in the corner, unfortunately he couldn't convert his own try.
